Set out from Houston with my post-Las Vegas rental, Nissan Versa, packed with Carina’s belongings, and dropped them off at her new digs

In the lobby, bumped into Menny

In elevator back to the seventh floor, Pomma entered lift

Boss, who bought me lottery entry at TsumiCon Houston 2025, said hi. Connected on Discord

Madam Houston

Had food chez Kota with Rosie, and stashed the leftovers in my room’s fridge

Looked for spookymoogs, found her live-streaming with Jennybelly

Back up to our suite on the 11th floor

Ben Kai came up

Smokes. Saw Katy La Gray.

Saturday, April 4

Found spookymoogs’ booth and acquired candles: sidequest accomplished!

Took a shower, headed back to the lobby

The Haus of Pain

Met a local fan who bought a day pass to meet me. Wandered the convention floor with him

Sunday, April 5

Woke up, got decent enough, and headed for Pomma and Little Puck’s panel after allowing Paul a little time to relieve himself

Met Rob and Amanda, who were making a documentary on Little Puck

Pool hangout

Brought Rosie down to the pool area

Said my evening prayers, felt that same energy I’ve felt before. Silent sobs.

Paul met some Yorkshire terrier puppies!

Ikkicon Yokai Night 2026

Plans to attend came together on a whim while Ether, Jakuna, and I were hanging out in town

Ikkicon’s Yokai Night 2026 marked my first visit to the Kalahari

We rolled up in my rented Audi A3. Upon arrival, Jakuna suggested we go ahead and book a room for the night, to which I agreed

Jakuna got picked out from the audience during the La Gray Cabaret performance, and I rolled video of him seated on stage

Saw Ty Strang, and took his photo with a cosplayer. He bought Ether and I a drink

I really liked the energy, but even keeping an ear to the street in the Ikkicon Discord server, I didn’t catch wind of any room parties

After hanging out at the fire pit a while, we decided to call it a night

Saturday, January 10

I took Paul out for his morning walk, and decided to take a closer look at the rest of the Kalahari

We checked out from the Kalahari

We stopped by LeRoy & Lewis. Manager gave me flak about Paul at first. His tone changed when, after some time spent waiting in line, I went over to the bar and ordered a couple beers. My first choice, a gose, wasn’t available. I ordered two Austin Beerworks Sputnik coffee imperial stouts, and he asked if I’d like them served in glasses.

I grabbed a serving of the cheesecake to go upon <>’s recommendation

Ecchi Expo San Marcos 2025

I rolled up to Ecchi Expo San Marcos 2025 in a four-man: Kussah, Vox Singuin, Zeke, and myself

After some last-minute confusion, it was decided we’d push the 3er up. Vox took the first stint behind the wheel, with Kussah riding shotgun. Paul and I spread out in the back seat. I spent most of the ride working on comms and reviewing the convention schedule

@PaultheYorkie and I went on a bit of a whim, hoping to catch Madam Houston, who was making an appearance as a Special Guest

Creators After Dark booth. I’d seen the rebrand of Kimochiicon’s IG account and some posts coming up on my feed. Met allheartplay

Stopped at Pandora booth. Caught up with Dre, whom I met at Kimochiicon 2024.

Checked Tattoo Hall, where I met Clarissa and Ben Kai

Walked to dungeon area, where I met Jesse, Mistress Jennifer

Moved to Sno Bunni Lounge for tea

Met Winter and Summer. <> took a photo of me with the group.

Went back to rope room, where we met killed_tommy

Saw Madam Houston

Met Katy La Gray, and took her photo with Paul

Boss bought me a chance at the lottery, and I won a prize from Jennybelly and TracyDesu

While watching one of the performances, I thought I saw someone familiar in the front row. I got out of my seat, walked down the center aisle to get a closer look, and was pleased to learn that my eyes hadn’t deceived me! It was Nekomi, whom I hadn’t seen since Austin

We got a meal together at a ramen joint

Tammy and others said to go to the pool at 8PM
